Personal FAQ

Q: How do you have so much time to read manga?
A: So basically, I'm disabled and I have a rare immune condition that leaves me sick a lot of the time. I can't really go outside much for a lot of reasons so I'm stuck inside almost all the time. If anyone cares to know more, it's called Mast Cell Disorder.

Q: How many manga do you own?
A: When I was healthier and able to work, I owned about 2000 manga. But since I've been sick I was forced to sell most of my prized collection to pay bills. I have about 1000 left and will probably only be able to keep a couple hundred.

Q: What's your favorite manga?
A: Man, that's such a difficult question! I would say Blame!, Twin Spica and Monster make up some of the top spots but then I couldn't decide what else should fit in. There are a ton of series I wouldn't say they're my favorites but I enjoyed them a lot.

Q: Will you review any Scanslations?
A: I doubt it, at some point I got too fed up with a lot of issues, translation mistakes, scanning and editing quality, and worst of all, Scanslators dropping projects and no one ever picks up the rest. While official translations aren't perfect, at least they usually have some minimum of quality. And getting dropped is decently rare, aside from bankruptcy. Also being able to own and read the physical books is a big plus for me.

Q: Is there anything you won't read?
A: Hentai, I guess. not really a fan. I also am not very fond of most manga adaptations of classic literature, and various manga non fiction guides. However I might review some of these based on time and interest.
