Digital All-You-Can-Read Manga Subscription Services

For a long time now readers have clamored for a Netflix-like service for manga. For a small once a month fee, you can read legally at these places, to your heart's content! (Note: Almost all these services also offer reading on Computer through a browser, except Mangamo)

Viz.com/Shonen Jump
Apps Available: iOS and Android
Cost per Month: 7 Day Free Trial, then $1.99 USD
Available in these countries: United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, the Philippines, Singapore, India

Pros:
  • Many of the world's most popular manga bestsellers available!
  • Includes the latest chapters of ongoing series available soon after they're published in Japan!
  • Read up to 100 chapters per day limit! (Around 10 volumes worth)
  • Download to tablet or computer for offline reading!
  • Includes many, many complete, or all chapters available of ongoing Viz series, including popular titles such as One Punch Man, Naruto, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul and many more!
  • Catalog has weekly additions, older titles and chapters are rarely removed.
Cons
  • Mostly all Shounen available, very little Seinen, Shoujo available and no Josei, Yaoi or Yuri available.
  • Not all Shounen Jump series are available, a few are missing such as Eyeshield 21 and Shaman King.
Recommended: Overall, the number one best value in digital manga! Have been happy with this service for over a year.

Comixology Unlimited/Kindle Unlimited
Apps Available: iOS, Android and Kindle Fire Apps
Cost Per Month: 30 Day Free Trial then $5.99 after
Available in these Countries: Officially Comixology Unlimited is US only but it may be possible to fake change your region. Kindle Unlimited is available in more countries: US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, India, China, Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Australia, but the US Catalog is probably the biggest for manga in English.

Pros:
  • Can try out many beginning volumes of popular Kodansha manga series such as Battle Angel Alita, Fairy Tail, Parasyte, Space Brothers etc. And also some 1st volumes of less popular Kodansha stuff as well.
  • More Seinen and other types of manga available, but not much to choose from for each.
  • App works smoothly.
Cons
  • This service really mostly specializes in Western Comics, Manga is kind of an afterthought, and you can tell from the sparse selection.
  • Only a handful of complete manga series available, and only a couple of those series are actually sort of popular, but also old.
  • New content is not added very often.
Recommended: It's more of a kind of service you subscribe to for a month or two, read everything you want to read and then cancel. The manga catalog isn't very deep at all, so it won't take long. Also of note while the Comixology and Kindle Unlimited catalogs overlap a lot, since Comixology is owned by Amazon, Kindle Unlimited has more self published and small press manga content.

Izneo
Apps Available: iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch
Cost Per Month: One Month Free Trial, then $7.99 after
Available in these Countries: US, France, others? (Not listed on website)

Pros:
  • Deepest Kodansha and Vertical catalog and more volumes of more titles available compared to Comixology. Better variety as well, and the most Shoujo titles available
  • Even better than Comixology for trying out different Kodansha series.
  • New Stuff added every week.
Cons:
  • Annoying App and website issues, slow loading and sometimes buggy.
  • Still very few complete series available, but more than Comixology.
Recommended: This service has tons of potential to eventually have a great catalog, but currently it suffers from various app and website issues that are annoying to use, browse and do things like mark things as read or otherwise maintain a reading list.

Crunchyroll Manga
Apps Available: iOS and Android Apps
Cost per Month: $4.95 for Manga only subscription, or $11.95 for All Access Anime/Drama/Manga subscription
Available in these Countries: Almost Worldwide (except China, France, Italy, Japan and Germany)

Pros:
  • Available nearly everywhere.
  • Their main claim to fame is the latest chapters of Attack on Titan, Fairy Tail and Seven Deadly Sins published soon after Japan. However, they also take down the older chapters of these series and other popular Kodansha series as they are published in books.
  • Overall it has a few popular titles, and few mildly popular titles, and then a few obscure gems, and random trash (See their currently running titles here, but note many of the popular completed titles have been removed.)
Cons:
  • Older content gets removed often. Popular stuff that get published in physical books gets removed the most often. Less popular stuff that is somewhat obscure stays longer.
  • Very few complete series available, although still some decent reads here.
  • App is sometimes buggy, will crash or not load randomly.
  • No offline reading.
Recommended: I don't know of anyone who subscribes to the manga only service, it's not really worth the money by itself. On the other hand, the All Access Bundle is a fairly good deal, but more for Anime and Asian Dramas streaming than Manga.

Apps Available: iOS and Android
Cost per Month: Free, but some chapters of some titles cost money
Available in Countries: Worldwide (at least, the website is)

Pros:
  • Some of the hottest new Korean comics including the hit Tower of God, Noblesse and many othersMany titles are free or otherwise cheap.
  • Long scrolling format is easier to read on a phone or computer.
  • Large variety available from comics creators worldwide.
Cons:
  • Mostly amateur works, these are basically webcomics. On the plus side, many interesting stories, but the artwork is not very polished for a lot of series.
Recommended: There are a handful of hit titles on this site that are worth checking out, particularly the top popular stuff. That being said it's mostly all free so, you aren't losing anything by checking it out

Apps Available: iOS only, and no Computer reading
Cost per Month: Free trial of 2 months, $4.99
Available in Countries: US, Canada

Pros:
  • Will eventually add a catalog of over 300 titles and 1000 volumes, but honestly a lot of these are either partnerships with Kodansha or other existing titles, and most of their exclusive titles are obscure stuff even Japanese readers haven't heard of.
Cons:
  • It says a lot that their biggest exclusive title being advertised is Japan Sinks, which you have probably never heard of. (It's not a bad title, but it is niche popular at best)
  • iOS app only, what's taking so long with the Android app...
  • App is really annoying, doesn't show manga covers in list view, lots of scrolling, hard to search and manga are not list organized by genre or anything.
  • Last I checked there was no way to make a reading list or favorites, but they did say they were working on it.
Recommended: This new digital only manga publisher maybe able to score some interesting indie hits, so I am looking forward to some very unusual and creative titles. But so far they lack the purchasing power to get any of the really popular series as exclusives. And the lack of android app and computer reading is annoying.
